Sadly Ben E King who sang in the same here as Percy Sledge sadly passed away yesterday aged 76 years old. I think Ben E's biggest and most famous hit/song was Stand By Me that made Ben E well known mainly.

Ben E was an original member of The Drifters Darren - I did'nt say as I was unsure until I checked it out for certain. Yes though it is true that Ben E was a member of the original The Drifters - who were one of arguably after the Everley Brothers one of the first major mega bands of all time, I'd think/imagine.
