I thought Liz Dawn had died quite a while ago but obviously that was her character Vera Duckworth in Corrie that diedsigpic
Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

That is very sad news. Vera Duckworth was one of Coronation Street's long line of strong female characters and played superbly by Liz Dawn. RIP.Comment

I couldn't put it better myself. Another great character from the past, in the day when Coronation Street was a good programme. Liz Dawn was also a barmaid in The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club.Originally posted by staffslad View Post
