Sadly Clive Swift passed away on February 1st aged 82 years old

Clive was probably most known I would say for his inimitable style as the Hen Pecked Husband of the outragous but very very, very snobby Hyacinth (also equaly inimatable ) in Keeping Up Appearances in the 1990s

For me the Comedy's like Keeping Up Appearances sure very very easily without any question what-soever represent Comedy's true Golden Age of shows indeed

Very sad news. He was one of those actors whose face was so familiar to TV audiences in the 70s onwards, before his most famous role in Keeping Up Appearances. He was in a couple of Ghost Story for Christmas episodes as well as cult horror Death Line. RIP.

Always enjoyed Clive Swift's work. A consummate actor. Showed he too was versatile with his comic turn in Keeping Up Appearances.
