Re: RIP Denise Nickerson
Sad news - is she the first of the Chocolate Factory kids to pass away? There doesn't seem to be a Wikipedia page for the actor who played Augustus Gloop so I wouldn't know. Did she really have purple (sorry, violet) make up on her face when she chewed that gum all the time?
It was a great film as it almost felt half-American, half-British. It was sad when Gene Wilder passed away three years ago as he was the actor most strongly associated with it.I've everything I need to keep me satisfied

Re: RIP Denise Nickerson
By the way, I used to find it humorous that her name sounded rather like "Denise Knickers On!"
On a tangent, I read in the news yesterday about Verruca Salt's prop Wonka Bar and Golden Ticket (the Wonka Bar was just some cardboard in real life) had recently fetched quite a bit of money in an auction for charity. Julie Dawn Cole gave it to a friend who kept it for many years before deciding to part with it.I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
