RIP Raquel Welch (1940-2023)

Longtime actress and international sex symbol Raquel Welch has died. She was 82.

I have always wondered whether or not Raquel Wolstenholme (later Watts) in Coronation Street was actually named after her - the fact that the character was portrayed as a stunner model stereotype on screen makes me think that she probably did.

As for Raquel Welch, I often thought of her as being what Marilyn Monroe would have been had she lived and reached relatively old age.

I never realised Raquel was 82
