Eddie Stobart (the company, that is) had such an ironic cult following (in a Roy Cropper sort of way) in the mid 1990s, so much so that for some reason, I felt a bit of excitement when I saw a Stobart lorry go down the A1 as I was returning from a day trip to Scarborough one Sunday. The reason for this ironic cult following was because Bernie Clifton (of the ostrich fame) had released a novelty hit based on Stobart - he was on local radio being interviewed about it and they played the song afterwards. I don't think that it had ever charted, not surprisingly.
