  • RIP Denis Law and Garry Brooke

Denis Law and Garry Brooke have passed away at the age of 84 and 64 respectively. Denis Law was a phenomenal player for Manchester United in the 60s and early 70s, being part of the team which lifted the European Cup, and represented Scotland with distinction, while Garry Brooke was a crucial part of the Tottenham team and won two FA Cup medals and one UEFA Cup medal. RIP Denis Law and Garry Brooke.

RIP to both - I have never heard of Gary Brook to be fair

What can not be said about Denis Law - a total legend that could unite one City and gained the ultimate repect from one City, even though he played a major part in Man City relegating Man Utd in the 70s, Dennis was like Derek Dooley - loved totaly by both side of the divide. I hope as with Derek and Derek Dooley Way that a Road is named after Denis

With Denis Law's passing, the big 3 at MU are now all gone - Best, Charlton and Law. In an era when silly money is paid for ordinary players, how much would you have to pay for those guys today?

I t can't be disputed Bobby and even Jackie Charlton were amazing players as too was Denis Law, but as far as Georgie Best goes I am sorry I don't know why people pandered to him and made out he was good. He had the occasional bit of brilliance but he was never at the top long enough to be a "true true Great" and sadly when he did choose to turn up he as A) always late and B) his drink problem over-rode his Football. I think he is best remembered par where he scored 6 Goals v Northampton - which was not a tricky job in those days and would be normal procedure in years to come in those type of matches, as the Guest Star Player he was after finishing at the top level with Man Utd
