Such sad news of his death today.set me remembering his fantastic performance in "Distant Voices still lives" by Terence Davies.Pete played a violent alcoholic wife beating brute,totally convincing in a way that had you glued to the screen and i'll never forget him or the film.I own a copy of the DVD but cant watch it very often as it is so harrowing .Such a brilliant actor and will be sadly missed

I remember his excellent performance in "In the Name of the Father" for which he was Oscar nominated.
Watched him only a week or so ago in "Inception"......and have also seen him in "Amistad" &" Dark Water"

Yep he was good in nearly everything he was in The Town and Inception were 2 of last years best films.Comment
