Now I am not sure if I am going to regret asking this but....... what was the ...'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Sailor rhyme?
Lol, showing my age with that one . Life was pretty simple most of the time during those years (no computers etc - high light was owning a bike or scalextrix lol). Glad I grew up then and not now, too many pressures on the kids of today.
don't know if there is already a thread---I'm new to this--but does anyone remember the divine--aptly named 'Shaving Cream' that used to be served with puddings???

Was this the stuff that looked like squirty cream but actually tasted better?
For our school dinners I remember we had spam, spam, spam, spam, baked beans, spam, spam, eggs and spam LOL ! And for dessert we sometimes had this syrup pudding thing (I always had it without custard!) I remember one time having 7th's of dessert LOL !
I've just got myself a job as a school dinner lady(paid), Got a new found respect for them, didn't realize just how much they have to do, all the dishes get done by hand, yep all those big silver serving trays too, and the heat in the kitchen is awful. It's brought back loads of memories, I loved my school dinners.
Occasionally we'd get a cup of coffee with our school dinner but it always had a disgusting skin on the top. You'd stick you finger in it and flick it across the room so it stuck on the wall, or some unlucky kid that got in the way.
