CB RADIO..What was your "Handle" ??

Hi all,

In the eighties, if you had a CB Radio, what was your handle and why?

Mine was "Billericay Dickie". Named after an Ian Dury song.
Never even been to Billericay, and lived in Stevenage at the time I just liked the sound of it.

i had a handle that was blue f,aider , because they were the two loves of my life at the time , by 73 avenger 2 door saloon 1500 super , which i still own , and my First Aid as i was in st john ambulance at the time , .

I also kind of got my mum into it , and gave her the handle of green fingers as she was a very talented gardener .
Once during a visit up to northampton we got talking to a trucker as we needed directions , he then asked what car we were driving so we told him a red rover , and so for about an hour we were red rover .

I had a custom painted Ford Capri with gold metalflake flames on it hence the handle.

as a young child mine was White Heather.
Mum was mini haha
Real dad was Bongo
Step dad was Gamekeeper (who in my eye's was my real dad)
sister was Ladylou
three brothers, Bimbo, wotsit and dartanion.

I didn't have a CB radio or a handle but one of my mates did - his handle was The Undertaker, probably from his love of wrestling

my nickname was and is bumblelady, it has stuck ever since, and its were i met my partner who i am still with now 8 years later,

we still use them

My handle was Desprate Dan back in 1979. I was only 8 and there wasnt that many around so spent most nights (until 7pm!) talking to my mate and 1 other person. Still got one boxed in the garage. Got it out a few months ago but there was absolutley no one on it. At there height they were much better fun than msn!
