I remember he was on Eureka sometimes, & I'm sure on Blue Peter at least once.

In the 1980s there seemed to be a few performers (for a better word) who seemed to do the rounds on Children's TV.

Blimey, he's still around! He used to pop up everywhere on kid's TV. Probably the first Great British eccentric I encountered, even though I didn't understand the concept then.
