  • 1970's radiogram

    Remember these ?

    size of a sideboard and they were just a radio and record player

    anyone got a picture or link ?

        Every family I knew in the 70's had one of these

        I can also recall playing around with soldiers in the back of next doors open backed huge TV set Dangerous!

          Ah good old valve technology. We never had one one but I remember playing around with something like this.



          Let me tell you it could really take some punishment!!

            This is the same as the one we had at home..



            ...and this is the same as the old dansette I had, I luurved that record player lol

                  Remember my aunty having one the size of a sideboard. My cousin used to tell me it was Dracula's coffin and make the lid creak.

                    The one that Jess and Koukou said was most like theirs must have been really popular at the time as ours was like that too !!

                    Come on though girls - it was a STEREOgramme - state of the art

                          Dansettes were Mono, the big cabinet ones were Stereo.
                          We had a little blue & white dansette..That was in the house before I was born and I used to up until about 1980

                            This one was mine - I bought it myself out of my savings when I was thirteen - much to my mum's disgust (Fancy wasting money on one of those things !!) Mine was a brown colour though.
