Did anybody have or still use a Personal Didgital Assistant? These were basically hand held computers packed with numerous applications and more could be downloaded from the internet. The main players were Psion (orinally a software house), Palm and Ipaq. Unfortunately these can only be gotten hold of in second hand shops or over the internet.

I remember Psion palm tops being all the rage when I was at college. This was when PC laptops were bulky & £1000+. One of the tutors at college had one & could often be seen tranferring files onto a desktop PC.
My bother got a basic PDA from his then girlfriend's parents for his 21st birthday. He didn't use it much because it got through non-rechargable batteries very fast.The Trickster On The Roof
