  • MOT and road tax checks on vehicles in old TV programmes

Have you ever carried out MOT and road tax checks on vehicles in old TV programmes in order to identify if they are likely to still exist?

No — but I might try it now

https://www.imcdb.org/ has a good record of many cars used in TV & film productions, many of which have had their status checked.

The most complete list on the web about cars, bikes, trucks and other vehicles seen in movies and series, image captures and information about them.

I had news, current affairs, documentaries and children's programmes in mind. It might be possible that a car in the background of clip from a 1992 episode of Crimewatch still exists.

I know that there was a website which gave information about cars which has been on the road from around 1982 onwards. The Mini in the Cross-Ply and Radial Tyres PIF's details wasn't on it as it was too early for the system.
