Quite tragic I remember, especially as it was something which could have been treated had he gone to a doctors earlier.

I really liked Sesame Street & The Muppet Show; & Fraggle Rock & The Muppet Babies were ok as well.

Probably the greatest football song ever released World In Motion was released by England/New Order as England's song for the 1990 World Cup. Who can forget John Barnes's "rap" in the middle of it?

Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe jailed for life for 13 murders between 1976 and 1981.

I really remember the hunt for him due to the north east connection with hoax I'm Jack letters and tapes. He was caught due to false numberplates on his car, a stroke of luck and good policing. He had been questioned several times during the hunt and released.

Interestingly by Brother's birthday is the 22nd of May & he's into true crime.

Arsenal pip Liverpool to the league title, needing to win by two goals they got their 2nd in the last minute for a 2 - 0 win.

It was also the day I left school, with a leavers ball that night it meant I missed the match but got regular updates during the evening.

My dad remembers that as being the few head to head finishes to the season, & that it was decided on the last kick of the game.
