  • Greetings from California

    Hi all,

I thought I'd introduce myself to you fine folks. I live near L.A. and I'm a book dealer by trade. I'm pretty much into anything vintage. Even though my particular era is the 1920s and '30s, I also have a soft spot for the '70s and '80s. (I was born in 1964) One of my big interests are vintage toys especially Hot Wheels and Matchbox die cast.

What attracted me to this site is that I've always had a huge fascination with British history and popular culture. As a kid I had the aforementioned Matchbox cars (Lesney regular wheel!) as well as Dinkys and Corgis and used to watch shows like Morecambe & Wise (my favorite) on the local PBS stations.

Having said that I hope to learn a lot here. Thanks for letting me bend your ear.

I'm always amazed when people from outside our little island find our stuff fascinating.

              Welcome.

Welcome to the forum, Pal! (I just love that Die Hard qoute). I reckon that there's enough matrerial on here for a book on 70s, 80s and 90s British-American cultural history.
                WELCOME TO HELL!!!
