    Hello

    My name is George, and 1978 was when I was born.

    I have been lurking for a few years, and hopefully I will be joining in the main forums, bumping one or two threads up with my own contribution. (Sorry about that!)

    I am using this thread to test that my account is working as I have only just signed up.

    My avatar is a still from an old advert from the early 1980s that I think suits the mood of this forum!

    I look forward to joining in the forums now and again.

            Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

                  Don't worry, I think that Heather meant "go ahead and post" rather than "go away" or "leave".

                  Thanks for all the welcoming messages. I took advantage of the extra hour we had on Sunday morning to respond to some great threads on here, after I took my time and read through a lot of them during last week .

                  I think that I have bumped a few up from a few years ago, but they were so great that I couldn't resist adding my own contribution.

                  I think that you will be having around for some time to come. Great forum.
