I found this marvellous site when I was looking up references to, of all things, Pizzaland - in a moment of non-concentration at work. I remember eating in several London and South East branches as a boy.
Born in 1966, I grew up in the 70s and 80s and remain fascinated by the radio shows, TV sitcoms, politics, fashions, music and sport of the era. I’m also interested in the British Armed Forces of that period, having enjoyed playing amateur soldiers with the Corps as a schoolboy and student. I have a wide range of cultural interests balanced by a good sense of humour, both highbrow and lowbrow: warning - I have an irrespressible love of fart 💨 humour and everything connected with flatulence that stems from my 70s/80s boarding school days.
I’m constantly boring my mates by saying ‘do you remember?’ and so I have joined this site to take the pressure off them. I look forward to participating and exchanging thoughts and memories with new friends.
