Hi. I've just joined this forum and so I'll start by telling you about myself. As you can tell from my name, I'm a fan of The Bill. I watched the first 5 series a few years ago and liked Woodentop a lot, especially since it focused on Jim Carver whose 1st day it was on the force and it was really interesting to see him talk to Insp. Deeping about staying on in uniform when eventually in series 3, he joined CID on a trial period and ended up staying there for years until it all got to him. I also like The Sweeney, The Professionals, Minder, Starsky & Hutch and other US shows like The Six Million Dollar Man and The Incredible Hulk.
At the moment, I'm watching episodes of The Professionals and Minder to mark the 40th anniversary of when they were first screened after the ITV strike ended. Last year, I watched series 4 of The Sweeney to also mark its 40th anniversary. A cop show that's never been bettered and influenced so many others.
