Re: Favourite Pub Names
When I was living in Devon, a pub changed its name to X, just to get into the Guinness Book of Records (which it did)

There was a pub called The Tunnel at Cwmbargoed. It was situated on top of the mountain. It was named after a colliery close by. Again it's long been demolished.
The Wattstown Hotel at Wattstown in the Rhondda Fach, was known has The Tommy John's. It was so called because the original owner was called Tommy John Lloyd. The building is still there, but the pub has closed down.
