If people cannot be in two places at once, then how can Pudsey Bear being in hundreds of places at one for Children in Need? He will be in the north-east, south-west, somewhere in Basingstoke etc.

(Yes, I know that there are more than one of them made, and that Pudsey is a bear and not a person, but I always like to keep magical illusions alive from my childhood...)

Reminds me of that Secret Bunker sign which I think is somewhere in Northamptonshire, and everyone from Private Eye to those novelty books have featured.

One thing I have just seen listed in Total TV Guide magazine is on ITV this Sunday - "The Martin Lewis Money Show Live", which is announced as being a (R) for a repeat. I mean, how can it be live if it's a repeat?

ElevenSports the new company who bought the Spanish league football rights label their MOST of their games as LIVE even though they're repeated !!!

I queries this with them as it's very confusing to the viewer unless you know for certain which games are being played at that exact time ..

Anyways they explained that when a game ( any game !) is being transmitted NOW ... it's being transmitted LIVE because you can see it NOW !??

Sounds like absolute rollox to me !

It's like how Jim Davidson's Generation Game misleadingly used the word "Live" in its opening announcement when introducing Davidson as everyone knows that the shows was recorded a good couple of months before.

And Nicholas Parsons used to go on about people who used to think that Sale of the Century used to be announced as "Live from Norwich - it's the quiz of the week".

Speaking of misleading announcements, I used to hear quite a bit of the following a few years ago:

"For a free leaflet/booklet/whatever, please phone 09064..."

If that's free, then I am a qualified psychiatrist.
