A quarter of the British population are now in lockdown - Leicester has been the closest town or city to where I am to get the lockdown treatment.

I feel that a lot of traditional elements of Christmas will be cancelled this year - it will be a case of "oh no they won't" in response to pantomimes going ahead; no official Christmas lights switch on; no Christmas parties which would be a receipt for disaster when it comes to self-distancing.

I believe that it will effect TV scheduling as well - the Queen will probably deliver her annual message slightly differently (although she did an Easter one this year); the Christmas Lectures at the Royal Institution will probably have a limited audience; Big Ben will pre-recorded on New Year's Eve (although it is still covered in scaffolding); and other things as well. Things will be very different.

I did wonder how well we would be doing if the government didn't drop the sense of urgency and opened things up in June.

It's interesting how they all look like the 40000 most dedicated Wetherspoons regulars, with an average age of 56.

Either alcohol ages your looks so you appear to be at least 45 whne you are still in your early 20s or the above demographic quote is out someway.

Yes, it was too early and optimistic to do that.

I saw a live podcast yesterday where someone was the London demonstrations travelling from Trafalgar Square to Hyde Park, and a 59 year old man being injured. Talk about fly on the wall documentaries...

If things don't improve then more measures will have to be enforced in Wales.I think the rules should have been for the 4 countries of the UK been so much confusion

I just got a summons for jury duty and here I thought the courts were closed! It would just be my luck after staying home, social distancing, etc to get infected somewhere that I'm required to go!

I found out that in many places out here the courts had reopened back in June.

Got plenty in - back in March I managed to get twice as many of them, and so I still have lots left.

I went into our local bakers yesterday.. there was a wall mounted hand gel dispenser but instead of dripping down onto my hand it sprayed sideways onto my neck and face !!!
