This kinda thing occurs on other forums but it’s just the owners ‘boosting the forum traffic ‘ figures to increase the forum’s value .

I’m not suggesting that is happening here , of course

The owners pay other companies to ‘do the dirty work’

One such uk site I won’t name went from getting two or three new members each day to having 300 new members overnight EVERYDAY for about three weeks !!

I simply had nothing else to add, in fact i rarely comment on anything anymore as the quality and sheer lack of conversation lately has been dire frankly. I raised the point in a previous thread a while ago and my view hasn't changed

shame, as a newcomer I was hoping to be overcome with blissful waves of nostalgia but the whole forum does seem a bit quiet

maybe it needs a kick up the ....80s

I check in daily George but as i said rarely find anything worth commenting on...just Radio listings, Coronavirus and a "game" where you simply list stuff (i still don't geddit). I used to really enjoy proper conversation and debate on all manner of subjects here, but many regulars no longer visit and those that do have little of any interest to say. I will continue to check in (if i'm not banned after this) in the hope that the place will return to its former glory
