So far they have reached nearly 6000 signitures on that Petition Org site - I really really hope Amazon see sense and see that Neighbours is one of Australia's best ever exports along with Kylie, The Seekers and Cell Block H amongst the best 3 probably. Somehow though I fear and dread this time is the last time for Neighbours and that the Harry Houdini Act last time can not be repeated - I am begging to hope I am wrong, but it beats Home and away 12 times out of 10 as Australia's best Soap, which I truly think it is. If it is about Money - axe Home and away and put Neighbours back in the hand of Australian TV - I am sure whoever remains from the Grundy Team's Days can help and easily help finance it
Then again I do think over the last 10 to 20 years it has lost it's "orginial charm" as it was Australia's Coronation Street with Ramsey Street residents knowing everybody on the Street, like on Corrie and they have lost the original Familes par odd guest stints sometimes. The Robinsons are deleted with paul more or less at the "forefront" like Phil is for the Mitchells on EastEnders and thereis no links really to Julie's Side of the Family (though of course it turned out sh she was'nt a true Robinson) with Lucy only making the odd appearance and the same for Glenn Donnelly and Scott's just one appearnce in 2022 with only the very odd cameo from Phillip Martin and Ruth but again he's not a Robinson - only slightly by marrage at a push even
Then too why none of the Carpenter/Starks - Brett, Darren, and Danni, Lauren and Guy only make the odd cameo too, same for Marlene Kratz (Chery's Mum) and the Willis family (probably in my top 3) are even worse with Pam probably making one appearance, Doung ond Adam, Brad and Gaby not many too. Also going back to on Phillip's sort of Robinson link - why have no relatives of Debbie, Hannah and Michael turned up ?? They will all have Family now - so looking at the Family's that made it in this way you can see where they have gone wrong
Only the Kennedy's are mainstay's with real connections in my opinion and even then that is a similar story with Mal, Billy and Libby only making the odd cameo and nobody on Izzy's side through her Karl links - also why not add spice and controversey that good old Dr Karl got Sarah Beaumount pregnant as well as Izzy!
