Server busy???

This has just happened to me for the second time this week! I'm logged in viewing the board, click a thread and get taken to a page saying "server busy please try again later!"

Anyone else had this happen

Hmm still happening to me too, just viewing who was on line, hit the index and got locked out for 5 minutes :cry:

must be when all vBulletin forums get busy as we are not exactly over run at this very minute!

OK my server guys are investigating this now but it's something that needs to be monitored over a period so I should know more in a couple of weeks or so.
In the meantime, if you do get the server busy message, please could you PM me with a note of what you were trying to do when you got the message, the exact wording of the error if possible or a screenshot and what time the error occurred. That will help us pin down the cause of the problem.

OK I think I found a technical fix that will prevent the 'server busy' errors coming up again. Let me know if you get any more though since it should be all sorted now.

Thank you Its a bit annoying when you were just in the middle of something as it seemed to last for at least 5minutes sometimes more.

Apparently it's a kind of 'safety' feature to prevent the server from becoming overloaded. We have disabled this now and our server guys will continue their ongoing monitoring to ensure that the server is coping OK.
