I found an old wallet of mine today from when I was about 11. There was nothing really that important in it other than a blast from the past. Day Rover tickets. Does anyone else remember these? These were the old old types with no plastic adhesive cover. I was going to take a picture of them, but sadly they'd perished quite badly, the card had degraded and the scratch off silver was all powdery.

Brings back the summer days where me and my mates used to go into a few of the cities in one day and do various activities. Good times.

When pulling a cracker on Christmas Day I was surprised to find inside a bag of 6 marbles, and it made me think that it had been a long time since I had seen kids playing marbles. At school there seemed to be a marbles "season" when everybody would start playing with them; this would be around april/may when the weather had picked up. Has playing marbles now gone the way of the dodo?

The Stonehenge Festival from which all the hippies moved to Glastonbury

The last Stonehenge festival was 1984 - 1985 was Battle of the Beanfield where the entire UK police forces stopped the festival and went onto smashing up the hippies buses which weren't just buses; they were peoples homes

Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

We play a game on the streets. We give 10 points for smart looking clothes like sports jackets and blazers, neat trousers with creases good shoes and hats, ironed shirts etc... We deduct 10 points for men wearing jeans, and those trousers that cling to the legs and the **** come to the knees, hoodies ,t-shirts, trainers or any other scruffy looking habit's like hood over the head and baseball caps. Modern tasteless fashion basically. Work clothes like a suit worn because we think somebody is working and they have no choice equals zero points.

It's surprising how many men score in the minus points, the younger they are the worse they score. Old men usually pensioners usually can score highly in the plus points.I witnessed an old boy the other day looking really cool and sophisticated in his Harris tweed jacket, waste coat cravat and flat cap.

It also surprises me just how much men's habit's have changed since I was a kid.I purchased an old men's vanity case in a charity shop and I found it interesting. My father had one when he was in his youth. Contained tubes for shaving soap sticks and brush, etc.. not forgetting the old fashioned double edge safety razor.

I have been looking for one of these safety razors in all of my local shops even tried the town next to ours without much luck. Nobody seems to sell them on the high street unless you go to a specialist shop. However Boots, Sainsbury's etc. still sell the Razor blades to fit them so despite the Razor itself being hard to buy on the streets people must still be using them. Eventually I brought a new one online.

Many of the men if not wearing suit tops are still wearing pull overs, and I bet many are still wearing ties.

My parents have a picture of my Great Grandad on the beach in a business suit, his only concession to being on holiday was not wearing a tie.
