    Do you agree with me that to have a pretty woman dressed as as a male maritime officer and then believed was ludicrous in the extreme.

    1. In Jack, the enemy is Spain, but historically it was France and Spain--at Trafalgar, it was a Franco-Spanish fleet that was defeated.

    It is a far-fetched idea, but I suppose in the tradition of Carry On actors appearing in drag. TBH it isn't one of my favourites. I read somewhere that it was not supposed to be a Carry On, and I think that shows in the tone of the film.
