I'm not totally confident, but I'll take a guess at Jim Dale, as I know he was a singer and did some stand-up when he was young.

You got him staffslad. A man of many talents is Jim.

And he was my answer for the Harry potter audio book series as I even write my last entry he was in my mind, guess I should read the question and go with instinct.

It was the singing and stand-up work that made me think it might be Jim Dale, but it is so easy to overlook someone.

"Georgy Girl" is a song by the Australian folk music group the Seekers. It was used as the title song for the 1966 film of the same name. Tom Springfield, who had written "I'll Never Find Another You", composed the music and Jim Dale supplied the lyrics.

WHO AM I:
I started in the Brit studio system like most others in the 1950s .. One of my first films was Torment (1950) and I continued in popular movies like Blue Murder at St. Trinian's (1957) and Doctor at Large (1957). Some additional trivia. I was a lifelong friend of Joan Sims. I learned how to play poker from Sid James.
