I always wanted to be Watson - would have been fun to follow SH around, but still be reasonably 'normal' (ie not spend too much time experimenting on corpses and have a missus!)

When I was a youngster I really wanted to be Alice of Alice in Wonderland, later I wanted to be Jo March from Little Women. As an adult I'd prefer to be either Guinevere from the Legend of King Arthur or Beatrice from The Divine Comedy.
