British band XTC's most famous hit single "making plans for Nigel" was releaded in 1976 during the height of the punk / new age era. The style of their music was a mixture of pop, punk, funk, ska & reggae. They had a number of hit singles and were prominent in the music industry until 2005. Band member Andy Partridge was known for his acute stage fright which during the early 80's resulted in the band ending their careers as a live touring band.

XTC were a great band. They wrote very clever lyrics. My fave by them was Senses Working Overtime. I have the vinyl single shown here.
