    Arabel and Mortimer

    British childrens television series aired between 1993 & 1994. Arabel Jones was a blonde haired 4 year old girl who was best friends with a raven (bird) called Mortimer who was very naughty. Mortimer was the one who instigated an adventure which always left a trail of chaos behind them in their town of Rumbury Town, London.Puppets were used in these tv series and was written by the best selling author Joan Aiken.

        Aparrently not lol.

        I think the stories were also read on Jackanory weren't they?

        Just checked and Roy Kinnear read them in 1971
