Cadbury's Skippy

Cadbury's Skippy was a long wafer biscuit covered with Cadbury's chocolate and contained a hard chewy strip of toffee within the centre of the wafer. The packaging for Cadbury's Skippy was blue with distinctive red and yellow writing. It was really chewy!

Don't remember those at all, never heard of them. It's an old ad, i wonder what year it's from..... Skippy looks and sounds nice though!!

I remember those. I much preferred them to other wafer-based treats (such as those pink fingers...) as they had a lot more substance and it felt like you were really eating something.

Yes, pink wafer fingers. Haven't seen them for a fair while, but that's probably because I'd never buy them for myself.
I recall them mainly in biscuit assortments, when the were usually among the last taken.

Probably late 60's, but could have been a repeat in the early 70's: I remember eating a Skippy while watching Skippy (the bush kangaroo) on TV.
