Daktari was a show set in the jungle/desert with an veterinarian taking care of animals in the wild. This was a live action show around in the mid 70's.
The thing about coming to this site very recently is that I keep discovering threads that I want to contribute to, ...but which are actually quite old!
I loved Daktari. It was one of the many staple summer holiday morning programmes alongside White Horses, Belle and Sebastian, Banana Splits - yes, we all them on here so I won't go on.
I loved the excitment of this other world that was the African jungle, and loved the fact that there were all these marvelous animals being helped by sympathetic characters. But is my memory correct that the character of the daughter was a spoilt and rather annoying young wotsit?
