Charlie Says was a series of public information advertisments about a little boy and a cat called Charlie who used to teach us about the dangers of talking to strangers, or getting too near hot teapots! Charlie Says was an ugly animation along the lines of Roobarb and Custard but beautifully typical of the decade. Charlie was a cat who meow-ed in a croakey voice telling the boy that it was definately dangerous to cross the road without looking, or not to wander off anywhere without telling your Mum.
