Re: Alpine and Corona Soft Drinks

As I tend to not drink alcohol my tipple of choice has always been fizzy drinks.
I even order stuff from other countries to get my fizzy fix.
However, as far as I am concerned there has never been anything as good as Corona's Limeade and Cherryade.
Earlier in the thread in was mentioned that Corona was discontinued in the early 80s, this is not the case.
Corona was still available in my area up until around 1994, the iconic glass bottles had long been replaced with standard plastic.
The brand was last owned by Pepsi I think, I'm gonna send a message their way to find out the exact details.
Suffice to say, I could really do with a bottle right now.

I worked with Alpine maybe in the early 90s, remember the yellow van with "Alpine - Here Comes the POP Man"

Round our way we had Silver Spring vans which used to deliver 'Spring Up' which was lemonade, and 'Rola Cola'.

We had an Alpine pop van and also a one called Gray's. I prefered Gray's as a kid but always liked Alpine Pineappleade!!!!

We had the Alpine pop lorry and another one - a local firm I think called Sykes'. Our pop always came from the shops, though and this was always from the Morpeth-based company 'Waters and Robson'. It still came in the glass bottles with the 10p return.
