Burton's Potato Puffs

Potato Puffs were a sort of crisp manufactured by Burton Biscuits. The came in varieties of Ready Salted, Cheese and Onion and Salt and Vinegar. I'm sure that they have gone out of production now but who knows... if enough people remember them and still want them, there could be a Potato Puff revival!

I've seen them in both Tesco and Morrisons Kaz, but failing that

These were brilliant, and though they seemed tough to find even as a kid, they always turned up for sale on tables set out at sports days, church fetes and the like.

They seemed so delicate, they almost crushed themselves, but they were prime candidates for a further crushing between young hands. Then came the bliss of tipping back your head and allowing the crunched-up debris to tumble down your throat.

Forget these fancy thai chilli and lemongrass crisps and the like....I'd love a packet of Burton's puffs.

Wow, there's a memory.They used to sell them in our primary school tuck shop. Would love to try them again.

i used to buy mine in the walworth road se london in the 70's they only sold them in the bakers + i loved them so much
one day i had saved up my pocket money + bought a whole box full !!

I would buy these every day at primary school but rarely saw them outside of it. i was reading something recently that said burtons stopped production in the 90s.
