This was a kids' pop music show. I think the producers had a pretty low budget as they would have acts on it that were unsuccessfull or just plain rubbish. However, the kids on the show always seemed to be having a really good time and the show was immortalised on the cover of Bow Wow Wow's 'I want Candy Album'. The elusive Kate Bush gave a rare performance of her track 'There Goes a Tenner'. I seem to remember there was a popular competition called 'Peggy Babcock' in which the kids had to recite a poem very fast involving that tongue-twister of a name. Overall, it was a good show with some enthusiastic presenters who genuinely seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the kids.

Wasn't a young Lisa Stansfield a presenter on it?
