    No, Dream Topping was a whipped cream substitute. My mum always served Instant Whip with Dream Topping on top, plus hundreds-&-thousands sprinkled on. Back in those days we weren't yet paranoid about sugar and factory-made food imitations! Mind you, there were no computers or mobile phones, so most of us worked off the calories by actually doing something all day!

    Oh I thought they still made it, must have thought that cos you always see 'instant' products on the shelves still. If I remember you had to put it in the fridge to set didn't you...

    I am craving the chocolate version right now. You could still get it in the Co-op in the late 80s but I imagine no longer. Amusing name for a product though...!

    My Mum was still buying this when I was at home.

    For some reason she always tried to get tangerine, even though I wasn't that keen on it.

    Like Angel Delight but lighter in texture. Instant Whip was a Sunday teatime treat after we had eaten all our tuna sanwiches.
