Based on the popular 80s kids cartoon, The Smurfs, released in 1983, Smurf Berry Crunch cereal consisted of red and blue puff pieces that were made to taste a bit like fruit. Many people have compared it to the taste of Cap'n Crunch cereal. Post originally made Smurf Berry Crunch, which is now a division of Kraft Foods.

I heard that when this cerial was first sold in America it had to be recalled as they blue colouring was indigestable giving consumers oddly coloured waste products.
