These were bags of sweets, a mix of different sweets and some ind of toy of "lucky charm" I remember there being treasure chests.Though they changed to become "Lucky Bags" at some point. The sweets weren't that nice, but when you're a kid you take what you can get!

    Re: jamboree bags

My friend who lives in London has mentioned these - we had them here in the Midlands too, but we called them Lucky Bags.

If I remember rightly, they cost about 5P and had red and blue printing on a greaseproof paper type bag, sealed at the top by a welt of glue.

I may be wrong, but I was 5 in 1970 and the fadad image that comes to mind is a print of a cowboy on a horse with a lasso whirling above his head with the words "Lucky Bag" inside it?

I also remember 2 toffees inside in red and blue stripey waxed paper?

    Would love to see one?...........
