I am 62 next august and lived through the halycon days of the 60s revolution in Liverpool. I watched the 70s and the birth of the music video and right up to date, from the 90s, didn't bother as I disliked most of the music.

Of the new video's, Dreamer from Ozzy was a particular favourite but tonight I saw one (courtesy of my daughter) on Virginmedia cable Music on Demand from Thirty Seconds to Mars called From Yesterday. Absolutely brilliant. Excellent storyline, brilliant location (Forbidden City), fabulous costumes, and stupendous swordfighting.

If you have virgin cable, watch this.

"Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler seems to stick in my mind and my all time favourite "Experiment IV" by Kate Bush.

First bit of film that seemed to go with the music that I saw and the most memorable,
was the animated film shown on the old grey whistle test with One Of These Days by pink floyd.
I saw it on a large screen a few years later at a party, where the violet cones were flowing freely, quite amazing.
One other video does stick in my memory, a clip of a bloke taking a dump, played backwards;-) it
was a backdrop for Blur[?] on the tour they did with The Jesus and Mary Chain in the early 90's.

Old Grey Whistle Test - Ah those were the days - good to see Bob Harris getting a gong in the Queens Honours.
