Sid was never the original bass player in that band, it was Glen Matlock.

Lemmy gave Sid bass lessons! How excellent is that!!

Yep it was indeed Glen Matlock but the Pistols wasnt the Pistols without Sid in mine and many other Pistols fans eyes, he was the marketing tool and arguably the one that most people will say if asked on the spot " name a member of the sex pistols". The actual musician in the band was Steve Jones who was the only one that could actually play.

Hahaha I have photos of him and Lemmy together and Sid is kind of looking at the bass in the same way we would look at an alien if it landed infront of us !

Well if I was asked to name a member on the spot, I would say Johnny Rotten. I adoooore him, he is so underappreciated.

To me, Sid was just a bit of a puppet/cartoon like character in the band, there was more soul, I think, when Matlock was there and he was a great songwriter with John, they were a good team. Sid was funny at times, but he was a bit brash too, an aggressive personality, at least when John was being verbally aggressive, there was a valid reason behind it, Sid was just aggressive for no reason, I find it hard to take to people like that.

Rockabilly57 - Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac is the original and best. The latter stuff with that annoying woman in it is just derrivitave pop cack. Thin Lizzy Yes! The 'new' Thin Lizzy, no, just no. How can they desecrate that glorious name?! Sorry, rant over.

Did King Kurt support gary numan at some point in the late 80's?.....if so i remember seeing them in Southampton but the lead singer got a telling off coz he was swinging some 'knumchuckers' around.
