I used to work with the original SLF drummer Brian Faloon in the early nineties. By this time he was a suited and booted manager fir a large admin company
Saw SLF couple of yrs ago in my hometown, jake burns is a cool dude and what a singer, got my made in 77 t shirt, they were the first band i got really into before i got seduced by rock and blues but i still love em.
Quite uncanny seeing this thread!i was just listening to 2 SLF covers ,one was Running bear and the second love of the common people, running bear live is one of my (cover) favs but the later i think is quite awful.

I was looking at a few youtube clips of Sweet a few months ago,and it struck me how much Brian Connolly looked like Agnetha Faltskog of Abba, when they were both young.
I have just been looking at an early Stiff Little Fingers video clip on youtube, the Suspect Device one.It brought back so many memories,as most of the kids at the gig seemed to be my age around that time, and everything was so individual and simple.from the clothing and hairstyles to the dancing and standing around.Definately around the best period to my mind, before all the uniformed clothing, hairstyles and aggressive violent body language. We use to go to gigs at a pier near my home, and they were full of school kids dressed the same way and acting the same way.I never got to see your band myself Henry, and i feel eternally dissapointed for it.
