Re: Cilla (RIP) did Disco too....
I thought that Cilla semi-retired from television in around 1978 to raise her family before making a comeback in 1984 to do Surprise, Surprise.
It annoyed me when someone went on Stars in the Eyes as Cilla, and the punter was doing one of her 1960s songs, but the makeup and stylists they made her look as if she was about to present Blind Date 30 years later, rather than make her look as she did in the 1960s.I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
I'm having so much fun
My lucky number's one
Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

She just got lucky .. being at the right place at the right time plus being big mates with the Beatles kinda helped her ..

I can't say that was much of a song and I was never much of a fan, but she was a good presenter imo and it is sad she is no longer with us. To be honest, I thought that Sheridan Smith did a better job singing in that biopic than Cilla herself.
