Brisbane Festival Hall(in Australia) I flew approx 1300km to see them in 1984. Got third row seats and totally blown away by the show. Was lucky enough to meet them backstage and have a few words to Bono
Saw U2 twice on The Joshua Tree Tour they were awesome, UB40, the Alarm, the Pretenders just supporting them, amazing atmosphere. Then saw them later on and equally as good. truly the greatest rock and roll band in the world.
Been a big fan from the earliest years and strange that they are now my sons fav band. Seen them live twice at the SECC in Glasgow and
Murrayfield but must say been underwhelmed on both occassions
Easily, I think they play overblown cr*p,the singer is the biggest idiot in music and they always sound the same.
"Hello,Hello,I'm at a place called Vertigo"..How profound!!
How can this man bang on to the public to give up money and end world debt, when he pays £1000's to fly a Hat to another country, and moves his business premises overseas to avoid taxes??
Sanctamonius muppet!
My other half is a huge fan and will be very jealous of anyone who's met them or seen them up close. We went to see them on the Vertigo tour but had awful seats and were very disappointed even though they put on a fabulous show.
