Anyone go to the Stiff records tour in '78? First real gig I went to and was pretty awesome. Eric rocked hard and Lena was on top form. Rachael Sweet got a rare slagging cos of her high pitched squeaky voice. As a broke 5th former all I could afford to buy was the tour poster but my mate got the t-shirt!
    Good times...

I notice that Lene Lovich (please do see my signature if you must) was obviously one of the artistes on the Stiff record label at the time and I have just noticed that you and the poster have mentioned her - 1978 was the year before she had that Lucky Number hit. I have never owned a 7 inch single of it (even though around 20 years ago I went through a phase of rummaging through charity shops' record collections after getting a hi-fi from Argos). I know that she was on Stiff because it was mentioned in the Guinness Book of Hit Singles which I had for a while - YouTube, Alexa, NOW 70s, Pick of the Pops (as long as it isn't skipped), and the Lovich album which lives on my bookcase are places where I would usually hear it.

I actually started a thread on Lovich which you can find on the search function - you might have already seen it as I notice that you have been with us since November 2022.
I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
    I'm having so much fun
    My lucky number's one
    Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

Do you still have the tour poster from the Be Stiff '78 tour, or any other memorabilia from that night?
