Summer of 84 concert - Wembley Stadium

Did anyone else go to this concert on June 30th 1984?

The main artist was Elton John, but I only wanted to go to see my favourite Nik Kershaw! Also playing were Kool & The Gang and Wang Chung amongst others.

This concert was so good.

This concert was so good.

Big Country stepped in at the last minute for Paul Young (who was recovering from throat op) much as I was a fan of Big Country they didn't really fit in with the rest of the day. Funniest thing was when Kool & the Gang were in full swing and a member of the brass section fell off the hi-rise part of the stage they were dancing on whilst playing, the rest of the brass section carried on with their routine whilst he clambered back up and then just took his place back in the line-up.
