  • Cats' Whiskers

Looking at the Radio Times Genome, there was a programme which was on BBC Radio 4 during school holidays and Bank Holidays, and then to Sunday evenings from around 1986 to 1990 called Cats' Whiskers? Does anyone remember it because I don't, despite the right age for it at the time! It might have been on LW sometimes so that more mainstream programming could be on FM.

Quite a lot of familiar celebrities could be heard doing various things such as reading stories or just being a guest on there - presenters included Paul Nicholas, Richard Briers, swimmer Adrian Moorhouse and Andy Crane, and it finished around the time when Radio 5 started up - I assume that a similar programme was launched on the new network.

I probably assume that it was a radio version of the Saturday morning kids' TV series on BBC 1 - does anyone remember it on here?

I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
    I'm having so much fun
    My lucky number's one
    Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!
