Radio series

Does anyone remember these? My mum used to tape them while I was at school, may have been on BBC Radio. One that sticks in my mind was about these kids who lived at the bottom of this lake and talked to this boy I think and kept asking him to go play with them in the bottom of the lake.

This was an adaptation of 'The Water Babies' by Charles Kingsley (written in 1862) which was broadcast on BBC Radio and put on Audio Tape.

Thanks joybee, it`s gonna be great to listen to it again. It`s the only one that stuck in my mind and can remember.

Ok just listen to it and it doesn`t seem to be the one I remember or a different version. I think there was a town in the lake and the boy they wanted to play with them didn`t live in the lake. The bit that stick in my mind is that the kids in the lake syaing "come play with us" and the boy or girl was saying "I can`t" I think it was a ghost story. It was broadcasted in the 80`s if thats any help.
