  • 1st Album & Single you ever bought

The title of this thread speaks for its self,

But it has to be a record that you walked into a store and bought for the first time on your own.

Xmas & Birthday presents do not count.

    Mines are
    1st Single - Stand & Deliver - Adam & The Ants ( May 1981)

1st Album - Kings Of the Wild Frontier - Adam & The Ants (Sept 1981)

1st 12" mix - Sigue Sigue Sputnik - Love Missile F1-11 & Slyfox - Lets Go All The Way (both on same day June 1986 on Holiday in Morecambe of all places).

Also saw Simon Bates on the Radio One Roadshow that day too. Whit ever happened to Smiley Miley?????

    Good times!! Amazing records!!

The titles were so much more imaginative than the Now 156 of today - how's Obsession FM going btw Johnny ?

I can't remember the first album I bought, selective amnesia lol. But the first single was Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls.

first album(it was a tape) - queen news of the world (from asda at notts while out with me parents.I made me old man play it in the car and he moaned about it until me mum turned it off!!!.) Man i was rock n roll then!
single - dance with the devil cozy powell.
I used to play it on our music center (surely the biggest one in living history) at full blast when me parents were out!
